Painted Peace Turtle
About The Artwork:
There is a bridge where every day on my way to work I would see an older gentleman leaning over watching intently.
Finally, the day arrived when I had time to stop and inquire of him, "What brings you every day?” He smiled mildly at me and pointed down into the water where I saw hundreds of painted turtles, (and about three snappers,) begging? for the bread he tossed to them.
Those turtles danced in my imagination for about a year before emerging onto my easel.
